Tuesdays at the Spot! Congratulation cards

Hey Y’all!

It’s Tuesday with The Spot Creative Challenge. This week we are challenging you to create Congratulation cards! With graduation season upon us and wedding season right around the corner, you really need to have several graduation cards on hand and ready to go!
For my card I really wanted to showcase a simple and quick card that you can use as a template to build LOTS of different cards.

Here is a different angle:

Let’s dive into this weeks card and how I think it can be a template that you follow for lots of different cards.

Details for today’s card

I find that starting with pattern paper really builds a card that can easily be changed out. For example this card uses one of the new Hostess set papers as the background. What I love about this paper is the color scheme. I could have pulled from the “yellow” and “oranges” or stuck with Pool Party and Costal Cabana for my main card stocks. This paper could easily be swapped for a black and white pattern or even a tone on tone pattern. The strip on the right side is a tone on tone but easily could have been just solid cardstock or a black and white pattern. I did set this off by pulling the Misty Moonlight color out of the background paper to use as a mat. I also repeated the Misty Moonlight in the stamping and the banner across the card.

When I laid the Pale Papaya cardstock on the my background it just felt like it needed something. That something could have been a stamped image (like I did) or it could have been an embossing folder.  I stamped the word congratulations on my banner and on the focal rectangle in Misty Moonlight. I added a bow from the new In Colors ribbon (this color is call Soft Succulent). Although you really can’t see it in the pictures, I added Wink of Stella to my flowers.

I hope that you have been inspired to add some Congratulation cards to your stash! Make sure you share them to the challenge over at the spot. When you get your card finished and posted on social media make sure you tag me with the hashtag #alittlekinderstamps I want to see what you created!
