Hey Y’all!
Happy Easter! I hope that your weekend is full of family and fun. Today I am sharing another card using the Simon Says Hoppy Every After stamp set. I just can’t get enough of this adorable bunny set!! The set was part of Simon Says Stamps March subscription kit. The best part is that you can get the kits outside of a subscription. And that is what I did.
This card uses some of the pattern paper from the March Kit mixed with a background that I ink blended and sprayed. I used Distress Inks for this background. To build up the background, I started with ink blending in a single color. Since Distress Ink is water reactive, I was able to spray with water to make some of the splatters as well as spray the panel with Distress Spray. I used watercolor pencils to color and paint the bunny and his carrot. I love how he looks!!
This card is a great example of a card that can become a sketch and used to create other cards. Here is the card reduced to a sketch. When posting cards with this sketch use the hashtag #createdbykarensketch001 so that I can see your card!
Let’s talk about the card details:
Background: Papers from March Simon Says Stamps Kit, Ink Blended background
Stamps: Hoppy Ever After (Simon Says Stamps)
Other: Sequins (Simon Says Stamps), Circle Punch, Precision Pen (American Crafts)
Thank you for stopping by to check out my card. I can’t wait to see what you create using this sketch! Don’t forget to tag me with the hashtag #createdbykarensketch001
